What Youth as Resources (YAR) is a national service program focused on youth and adults to unite in an environment of mutual trust and respect, to identify and satisfy needs within their community.
"Bringing the community together, one piece at a time."
How Youth as Resources is composed of a youth- led Governing Board with adults serving as advisors and facilitators. The YAR Board meets regularly to screen various service projects wit- hin the community. Pending approval by the Board, grants are awarded to partially fund these projects. The YAR Board also helps plan, implement, and celebrate the successful completion of service projects.
