The Montgomery County Child Abuse Prevention Council is comprised of community members interested in helping prevent abuse and neglect in Montgomery County. Functioning as a committee of the Youth Service Bureau Board, the Council meets the second Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m. at the Youth Service Bureau. Anyone interested is welcome at meetings.
The Council achieves it's mission of helping prevent abuse and neglect in several ways. Our personal safety educator provides annual personal safety classes to our county elementary schools for children Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each year the children receive information about how they can protect themselves and who they should tell if they believe they are being abused.
