Drug Free Montgomery County continually identifies stakeholders of distinct substance abuse issues, invites them to work together to define the problem, identify contributing factors, and create solution paths with ways to measure success.
The mission of the Drug Free Montgomery County Coalition is to serve as a vehicle for bringing together a cross-section of the community in a countywide effort to address alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) issues using multiple strategies across multiple sectors.
Originating as the Local Coordinating Council for the Governor's Commission for a Drug-Free Indiana, membership in Drug Free Montgomery County is a diverse committed volunteer group representing every sector of our community. this group created and now help guide the LCC toward achieving significant outcomes related to substance abuse prevention, intervention and enforcement.
Coalition members meet bi-monthly to help steer the LCC toward building successful partnerships throughout the community. An executive board selected from the coalition membership provides leadership and guidance for the Coalition.
